Makeda Makes: T`he Civic Club

We’re taking over the night to celebrate the sounds and legacy of the Harlem Renaissance.

After an intensive writing camp led by Makeda Makes, four artists are hitting the stage to debut two original pieces each, ranging from music to spoken word. They’ll be backed by a full live jazz band, bringing a modern energy to that classic 1920s jazz club vibe.

To wrap things up, we’ve got a surprise headliner jumping on the mic to perform three of her own tracks.
